... Callot

Jacques Callot was a French artist known for his lively etches that contained immense detail even when presented on a very small surface. The detail, the life, the energy ... If you like his work as much as I do, the The Fair at Impruneta (1620) and his Grotesque Dwarfs (1616) are worth a look.

Réveuse life size sculpture. Recently installed at Vrede n Lust wine estate located in Simondium, Paarl district.

The name reflects from a French word;  female daydreamer.

"We are stars wrapped in skin.

The light you are seeking has always been within. Rumi "
